Preparing for Spring

First, I want to take this moment to encourage you all during this very difficult season of our lives.

With all the uncertainty around us, what is certain to me is that this will eventually end, and as fellow members of the human race we can all band together to help and encourage one another.

I want to extend my direct help and support to anyone who needs it. I am very serious about this! If you need help around the home, someone to talk to, someone to pray with, I am eager to be there for you.

This is actually quite selfish of me. I find that in difficult times it is better for me to get out of myself and out of my head, and focus on serving others. So let me know what you need. Really!

I also want to encourage everyone to do the same. Reach out to your neighbors and see if they could use a little help and support. This is a great opportunity to build relationships and grow as a community far beyond where we were before. The world will be a better place if we spend our time serving and caring for one another rather than isolating ourselves and focusing only on the issues before us.

God bless and read on about SPRING.

Spring is indeed here, so it’s time to start making your lists and prepare for both the rain and the sunshine.

A few reminders:

  1. Drainage and Water Management: make sure water is “still” flowing away from the home. The rainy season is upon us. Better late than never. CLICK HERE to see my past article on drainage.
  2. Air Conditioning: the month of May is the time to clean the compressor screen (if you did not do it in the fall), and schedule a tune-up for the AC system with a qualified HVAC professional. It has to be warm enough to do this. Consistently 65 degrees or more. I don’t tune-up AC systems or furnaces, but I do have someone I recommend. So, let me know if you would like his name.
  3. Weed and Feed the Grass: attack the weeds before they get too happy and establish themselves. Mid-April is a good time for this when the soil temperature is about 55 degrees and the grass just starts to wake up.
  4. Turn on Sprinklers: after the rains slow down and there is no more danger of a deep freeze.
  5. Check the roof: look to see how drainage is occurring around your home – before the heavy rains if you can.
  6. Make your repair list: make sure to contact me if you have any questions. Phone advice is free and I am always glad to help with maintenance and remodel strategy.
  7. Home Inspection: contract with me to come and insect your home and property. I provide a thorough report with pictures and videos of all systems in the home. Let me find all the problem areas for you and give you peace of mind.

Remember, I am always here to help and love to hear from my customers.

God Bless,

 Kevin
