The Government wants to help show you how to save on utilities!

The Department of Energy (DOE) has created an affordable home energy assessment called the Home Energy Score that identifies the low hanging fruit with regard to energy savings, and makes it very easy to identify where waste is occurring.

As an added benefitreportt, the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) has teamed with the DOE to offer a 2% stretch on both income and debt ratios for homes that score a 6 or above. This could be just enough to get someone into their dream home, and increase the market value of any home.

A full blown energy audit can be price prohibitive for many people, but the cost of a Home Energy Score is well within reach of all home buyers or owners, and even less expensive if coupled with a home inspection.

That’s right! If I do a Home Energy Score Assessment while providing a general home inspection, the cost of the assessment is significantly discounted.
